The emotional drama show is all the life of April Edwards (Italia Ricci). April was a young girl who was just building her career when she found out that she has cancer. This turned things upside down for April. For the past two seasons the fans of "Chasing Life" followed April's journey as she take on the battle of cancer and how it affected all aspects of her life.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, show runner Patrick Sean Smith told them about the ending of the latest season that "With this finale, I wanted to go out as big as possible with as many question marks as possible."

He added, "Any time I ask a question on a show, I typically know what that answer is. There's a lot to explore in season three, like April's emotional state and her big decision to end treatment, there's a lot to explore with Uncle George and the manuscript and the investigation that's now in play, and then a lot to explore with Brenna and Finn now that Greer is moving back to town, and also what happens with Beth. I mean, everyone's life is up in the air right now by the end of the second season."

The fans warmly received the drama show and according to CDL, a lot of them were disappointed that the show has been cancelled. They even took on social media to express how they felt regarding ABC Family cancelling the show. It has also been reported that the show's die-hard fans are already making campaigns to try and get the show picked up by another network which could possibly be Netflix.
