Marvel's ‘Agent Carter’ Season 2 Cast, Spoilers & Release Date: Peggy Leaves NY, Ready To Love Again; Fans To See More Of Dottie?

Marvel's "Agent Carter" is making a comeback for another season and is already under production.

So what can fans expect to happen in Season 2? Lead actress Hayley Atwell hints on some storyline including her character's (Peggy Carter) current situation where the new season picks up and her foe's return, Dottie Underwood.

Comic Book Resources shared that during a discussion on the last day of the annual Fan Expo Canada, Atwell talked about "Agent Carter" Season 2 which she is very excited to explore. It's goodbye New York, hello Los Angeles now for Peggy as she moves to the glamorous Hollywood.

"She's in the Hollywood, glamorous world where they have this gangster, dark underbelly in the '40s, which was kind of like 'L.A. Confidential,' film noir. It's taken on that kind of tone," Atwell said.

She's also ready for a new love now that she's done grieving for Steve Rogers (Chris Evans). "I think people can move on. It's part of the human nature to, once you have processed something very painful like loss, that there is hope to not replace that person, but to certainly make way for a new opportunity in life that gives you greater contentment and companionship. That's what we're exploring for the second season."

"There will be lots of different angles," she added. "There will certainly be more love interests and love triangles. The great thing is we know because of 'Winter Soldier,' Peggy lives into her mid-nineties. There's so much scope. She found S.H.I.E.L.D. and therefore she has this incredibly full life. We know at one point she gets married with children. I could hopefully be doing this in three or four decades from now."

Well, the story won't be exciting without a character to clash with. Apparently, Dottie is returning and will continue to make Peggy's life difficult and be a pain in the ass of SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve).

"Oh, she's a slippery bitch," Atwell said of the Soviet assassin. "We haven't seen the last of her. Peggy has male baddies that she fights, but to have someone who is physically her equal -- she's a Black Widow, incredibly capable and very smart -- I think that shows some balance for Peggy, like a flip side of the same coin. You'll see more of her in Season 2."

The official synopsis was revealed last May. Marvel's "Agent Carter" will premiere on ABC this coming winter.
