According to the report, Jolie was browsing through Pitt's phone looking for photos of their children when she noticed that there were messages from a "weird number."
Jolie allegedly took it upon herself to find out who these messages were from and found out that they were from the "Cake" actress. The "Unbroken" actress then confronted Pitt, who tried to talk the situation down and explained his side.
Aniston allegedly sought Pitt's advice, as her recent marriage to Justin Theroux seems to be falling apart. Pitt reportedly offered to cut off all forms of communication with Aniston, but Jolie did not seem convinced and started to worry about her marriage.
This rumor about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's marriage seemingly coincides with reports about Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux's marriage already falling apart just weeks after their secret wedding. According to Latino Post, Aniston reportedly felt that Theroux "dumped" her and the newlywed couple is already living apart.
"Jen thought finally having that commitment would change Justin for the better, and get him to hunker down and maker her - and their life together - a priority. It's not working that way," a source said.
Aniston reportedly felt that marrying Theroux was "the biggest mistake of her life," as the latter would always seem happier when they are not together.
