What's cooking up on "The Big Bang Theory?" Season 9? The award-winning series will already premiere on Sept. 21 and spoilers from Cartermatt and TV Line suggest Leonard and Penny's impending marriage, a road trip to happen for the folks, and a Star Wars surprised storyline.
From "The Big Bang Theory" season 8 finale, many viewers are left on the brink by Leonard and Penny's relationship and want to know the score between the two. TV Line prompted that the two will officially be married next season. This was confirmed by its showrunner Steve Molaro in the article.
Aside from this revelation, Molaro's interview with EW and from CarterMatt's article revealed that Sheldon, Leonard, Raj, and Howard will be going on a road trip to Mexico and they will be using a "real-life van" of Richard Feynman. Moreover, the audience shall expect the road trip to be a hilarious journey as the troop can't really be together in one trip.
Molaro said from the interview, "There will be a fun road trip to Mexico for the guys early on ... The road trip will be taking place in [the late theoretical physicist] Richard Feynman's van and it will actually be Richard Feynman's real-life van that we have access to - his actual van from the '80s with the equations that he had painted on the outside of it."
From the road trip that will happen next season, Molaro also confirmed to TVLine that they are on plans of doing a storyline that features "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." This will bring total excitement for the viewers as they knew from the very beginning that "The Big Bang Theory" folks are just obsessed with anything "Star Wars."
Molaro said from TV Line, "We're talking about how that will be weaved into [the guys'] lives and we have some really cool ideas."
Molaro also added, "Obviously, we're all excited about it, just as human beings - and the characters are as well. I don"t know exactly how it's going to play in, but it won't be ignored."
TBBT season 9 is just days away and one of the questions we want answered immediately on the next season is will the SHAmy love affair be rekindled? And will Raj eventually break it off with Emily?
