'Final Fantasy XV' Active Time Report: Launch Date, Progress Report, Concept Art, and New Gameplay

 Square Enix have announced that the launch date of the game Final Fantasy XV will be hold off until March 2016.

            Game Director Hajime Tabata and Marketing Managger Akio Oofuji presented the Active Time Report for the game Final Fantasy during PAX Prime in Seattle, Washington. The ATR consist of information about the launch date, art concepts, progress report and new game plays.

Progress Report

In this part of the presentation, the developers played a video clip showing the works and development made by their staffs, showing those who are present or watching through stream the progress the game currently has. Some of the clips contains spoiler and Tabata choose not to explain each clip in details. But, interestingly a clip shows Noctis wielding a gun, and the samurai enemy Cor Leonis.

Concept Art

•  Altissia. Modeled after Venice, Italy
•  Hammerhead. Maintenance shop modeled after the hammerhead shark.
•  Lestallum. A huge structure with a meteor still burning can be found in the center of the town. This is where the town get its powers.
•  Overworld. A large, open, and seamless world where players can stop and have fun with their party.
•  Regalia. Owned by King Regis, Noctis' father. The key theme inFinal Fantasy XVis the "bond between friends," but another key theme is the "bond between father and son," so while Noctis is traveling with his friends, he is indirectly bonding with his father.

Driving Gameplay

      Tabata mentioned that they change the place of the steering wheel from the right side to the left as a result of numerous discussion of their team.

Upon entering the car, player have two choices, either manual or auto. In auto, you will set the destination and the car will automatically drive you there but you still have control of your car if you want to stop.

Launch Date

      Tabata said that the release date of the game will be announced on their March event next year. This is because of the collaborative efforts they have with other companies to develop and make better the game.
