Former NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue's Park Avenue Penthouse Listed for $35 Million

The duplex penthouse that once belonged to National Football League commissioner Paul Tagliabue has hit the market for $35 million.

Former owners who once called this co-op their home also include Marne Obernauer Jr., an owner of the Colorado Rockies baseball team and Maria P. Monet, the former C.F.O. of an energy company previously known as the Ogden Corporation. Monet was the last owner of the penthouse, as she has been living there since 1998, The Real Deal reported.

The six bedroom apartment at 885 Park Avenue hit the market last month. Features of the home include a living room, a dining room, a library and a bar.

Additional features of the penthouse at Park Avenue also include his and hers dressing rooms, a 63-foot-wide entertaining space on the top floor as well as an outdoor terrace that runs the length of the luxurious apartment.

Hilary Landis of the Corcoran Group has the listing of the co-op.

"This is one of the few apartments on Park Avenue over 8,000-square-feet," Landis told The Real Deal said.

She added that the sellers are downsizing and the apartment is "just too much for them right now."

The penthouse is among a stream of listings including a vacant co-op at 55 Central Park West listed for $35 million and an Upper West Side condo unit for $29.25 million.
