Robert F. Kennedy's Westchester Home Where Wife Hanged Herself Listed for $4 Million

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is selling the Westchester home his wife hanged herself.

The lifeless body of Kennedy's wife, Mary, was found mid May, hanging from the rafters of a barn on the property near South Bedford Road.

The 14-room eco-friendly Bedford estate is listed on the market for just under $4 million. Friends of the two are showing the estate off as a tribute to her environmental legacy, the New York Post reported.

"The house is a legacy and a tribute to May's genius and commitment to the environment," one of Mary's close friends told the Post.

"When you are at the home, you really appreciate everything that it has - it has such a great feeling."

The home has been labeled as the Green House for its cutting edge environmental refinements and incredible state of art.

According to the Post, Mary was an architect designer who was responsible for the environmental look and feel of the estate. These environmental looks included solar roof shingles, energy star rated appliances and a geothermal heating and cooling system.

The house has received many offers since it went on the market.
