Tom Cruise Leaving Scientology? Squeezes in Three Hours with Katie Holmes and Neglected Suri Cruise

It's been Tom Cruise's biggest dilemma since he and Katie Holmes have decided to separate ways - he can't watch their daughter grow up and Scientology is to blame. Is this the reason behind the rumors saying he's leaving the religious movement; celebritydirtylaundry.com has the report.

For the past two years, Tom has been almost absent in Suri's life; in fact, it's been more than three months since their brief meet-up. Thankfully, Suri has a dedicated mom in Katie. But since the actress walked away from Tom, which automatically turned her into a Suppressive Person - some who is supposed to be ignored and treated, essentially, like the worst of the worst - Tom has been having a difficult time fulfilling his role as father to Suri with Katie's full custody of their daughter. He is torn between becoming a good father or following the rigorous demands of the Church of Scientology - and add to that his busy movie career.

In a report by OK! Tom was able to get a three-hour playdate with Suri that Katie closely supervised; a more personal interaction compared to their phone and video chats. The Mission Impossible actor is afraid that he's missing on a lot of milestones in his daughter's life: her first day of school, her ballet classes, homework, birthday parties - and all that childhood memories that Suri will look back on and remember that his dad wasn't there.

Tom might also take Katie's advice (but what would the Church of Scientology think about this) of buying an apartment in New York City if that's one way for him to be closer to their daughter. This only shows that it is not Katie that's keeping Tom away from Suri - it's his conforming to Scientology that makes him distance himself to his Suppressive Person ex and eventually their child. However, rumor has it that Tom has finally come to realize the number of relationships in his life that was destroyed by being in the church and doesn't want Suri to be one of them.

By only seeing Suri every three months, Tom can't deny how much he is missing in her growing years, noticing how much she's significantly changing visit to visit. While the church abhors Cruise being seen publicly with his daughter since she's not being raised in the church, this doesn't stop the actor from trying to build a bond with his daughter that he gave her a large teddy bear, read some books with her, and played hide and seek for a while in one of his recent visits.

It is no secret that Tom is holding a leadership position in the organization, and if he breaks some rules from time to time, the Church of Scientology won't be able to as easily control their other members. Now, this leaves Tom to either choose to being the kind of father that Suri needs, or say goodbye to the church to stand by his kid. Suri is now at an age where she's already able to realize just how often her father is not around to begin asking him about why he can't spend time with her more. The 9-year-old kid deserves answers, but if it's 'Sorry kiddo, I love church more than you, does she really have to hear it?
