'Outlander Season 2' Air Date & Spoilers: Caitriona Balfe & Sam Heughan Spill Details About Season 2; Will They Change Their Future in Paris?

"Outlander" is coming back soon for Season 2 and the cast hinted that the show will have some political shift in the story. According to Franchise Herald, Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) will be on their way to France after their painful experience in the hands of Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies) in Scotland.

The move to Paris will be a hope for a better life for the couple, but reports reveal that as the story shifts, it will be more difficult for them. Heughan revealed that Jamie will be caught between two royal politicians. Although the couple is expecting a child soon, they will apparently be busy with political affairs outside their home.

Balfe said in an interview that Claire will be dealing with her pregnancy and on how she can help Jamie deal with his trauma. Balfe added that Claire took it as her mission to change the couple's future. She also hinted that the couple will be going through a very complicated time in their relationship but they will be finding a way to support each other amidst the troubles.

According to the Daily Record, the show is based from the bestselling books by Diana Gabaldon, and in the second book titled "Dragonfly in Amber," Jamie and Claire will seek out Prince Charlie (Andrew Gower) and stop the Jacobite rising.

"Outlander" Season 1 was reportedly filmed in different locations in Scotland which included Glasgow, Perthshire, Fife, Edinburgh and West Lothian.
