Mary Jo Patterson has cited a couple who is working in Manhattan but decides to move out from Jersey City and move in to Rutherford. This couple is Sriram and Hema Sridharan. Sriram works in Wall Street management firm as a senior business analyst. He said that they were looking for a place around Bergen County, and then found Rutherford. According to him, the Rutherford, N.J has everything in a place that they have wanted.

"We really liked the whole colonial feel of it, with really quiet neighborhoods," Sriram said. He also added that the transportation to Manhattan was "very important," for him too.

Sriram and his wife bought their real estate property in Rutherford, N.J in December. The house has 4 bedrooms, and had cost them $500 thousand.

The borough of Rutherford has easy access to New York City. The region has abundant oak trees. It is the home of late retired editor of The NY Times George De Gregorio who was survived by his widow Barbara De Gregorio. Barbara has been living in Rutherford for 52 years. To date, Rutherford has about 18,000 residents that make up the tight-knit community.

The Rutherford real estate properties are "divided into much of the borough's street grid." It is a common sight to see millennial houses throughout the borough.

The real estate properties are listed fairly in the market. The houses have a price range from $289,900 to $2.4 million. But based on the statistics, the "median sales price year to date was $490,000." According to Peter Van Winkle, the president of A. W. Van Winkle & Company, it is the characteristic of the town to fairly have that half-million-dollar range in real estate market. He said that compared to other areas in Bergen County, Rutherford is on the mid- to-low end as far as price range is concerned.

As a resident of Rutherford, you would get to enjoy of course the quiet residential neighborhood. The borough is considered as the first suburban outpost along the Route 3 corridor from the Lincoln Tunnel. You would also take the pleasure just watching the view of New Jersey Meadowlands. It has "busy strips of stores and restaurants" in Park Avenue.
