Dr. Dre will be releasing his new album soon as was revealed by Ice Cube during an interview on Power 99 FM. Furthermore, it is also possible that he will have a reunion tour with Eminem and the rest of the rapper that he has worked with for so many years.
According to Business Insider, Dr. Dre has been working on a new album to release as earlier than we anticipated. The founder of Beats by Dre said during an interview with Rolling Stone last March that he is, indeed, working on something new but has not released further information on the said project. Dre stated that: "I don't want to put it out there just yet and say that I'm definitely gonna put it out. But I'm really feeling what I'm working on right now. This would be a record that's inspired by the movie.
The said movie Dre is referring to is entitled "Straight Outta Compton". According to Consequence of Sound, Dre stars with O'Shea Jackson Jr. who plays his father Ice Cube, Corey Hawkins who took the role of Dr. Dre, Jason Mitchell as Eazy-E, and Paul Giamatti as the rapper's leader in the person of Jerry Heller. The said movie will soon release this August 14, 2015.
Apparently, Dre's friend and fellow rapper, Ice Cube, stated during an interview with Power 99 FM that Dre is definitely working on something to date. He stated that: "It's Dr. Dre. It's what everybody has been waiting for. It's definitely a dope record, and he's dropping it all on the same day." Furthermore, there are also talks that he will participate and replace the late Eazy-E's role on a N.W.A. reunion tour with Eminem.
With this hint, we might hear on his new album out sooner as the movie is also to release soon. Also, Ice Cube mentioned that Dre's new project, his latest in a span of 16 years, might even release sooner than the movie "Straight Outta Compton", more specifically on August 1.
