Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Rumors: Specs Include Skylake CPU and 3D Camera, To Be Released in October

Microsoft has reportedly decided for an October 2015 release date for its rumored Surface Pro 4. Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is said to have a Skylake CPU and a 3D camera. The theory was from a blog post by Paul Thurrott, a Windows expert, Design & Trend reported on Wednesday.

According to Design & Trend, the blog post stated that Intel's Skylake CPU is expected to be integrated in the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and will arrive in the fall. Another rumored spec is the camera hardware that will be able to integrate Microsoft's facial recognition technology called "Windows Hello." This facial recognition software is said to be one of the features of Windows 10, which reportedly uses a 3D camera that will authenticate the biometrics of the user based on facial features.

A related report from Alphr noted that Surface Pro 4 will likely replace the Haswell dual-core i5 and i7 Intel processors. As Phone Arena noted, Skylake will be faster and more efficient compared to its predecessors. Accordingly, with Windows 10 operating system onboard the Surface Pro 4, the tablet is expected to receive essential updates to optimize its performance.
