'House Of Cards' Season 4 Casting & Predictions: Will Doug Stamper Be Killed Off For Good?

Now that Season 4 is underway, "House of Cards" fans are speculating that a major character will die in the upcoming season. According to Master Herald, one of the most likely characters to be killed off in Season 4 is Doug Stamper, played by Michael Kelly.

In an earlier interview with Kelly, he said that Doug Stamper may be alive at the end of Season 3, but he wouldn't be surprised if he would be killed in the upcoming Season 4. The show is reportedly well-known for killing some of the characters in the show, even those that are fan favorites. The website speculates that Doug Stamper may not last long in the show.

Doug Stamper is the main confidant of Kevin Spacey's character, Frank Underwood. Kelly admits that being the right hand of the main character gives him a little protection, but there can also be circumstances that can change his position in the show. The actor's recent statement apparently made fans speculate that his character will be really killed off in Season 4.

However, according to Ecumenical News, show creator Beau Willimon confirmed that Doug will not be killed in Season 4. It was reported that he even told Kelly that he is not getting rid of him just yet.

Fans are reportedly celebrating as Doug's character has added to the show's compelling storyline. With his challenges in transforming between being good and bad, Kelly revealed that the role put him through his acting paces.

Aside from Doug's fate, fans are also wondering what could happen between Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) now that she's left her husband Frank. It was earlier reported that the former couple might go head to head for the presidential seat. Fans will have to wait until 2016 to know the answers to the major questions left by "House of Cards" Season 3..
