'Batman vs Superman Trailer': Spoilers Revealed for 'The Batman' Due in 2018 from the Movie's Footage?

The new trailer for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is out and it reportedly reveals what could be seen in "The Batman" movie that is due in 2018. According to Movie Pilot, the standalone Batman movie could be some adaptation of "Under The Red Hood" and would feature the return of Jason Tudd as the Red Hood.

The "Batman vs Superman" trailer has shown and even highlighted Robin's suit, according to the report. The suit has been spray-painted "HAHAHA Joke's on you, Batman." It was Joker who has written it on Robin's suit, the report pointed out.

The report also noted that "Batman vs Superman" takes place in the middle of Batman's story, meaning that Batman is coming out of retirement to take on the Kryptonian hero. There is plenty of proof of this just in the Joker's appearance: he has metal replacement teeth where they have been knocked out and broken by none other than Batman himself.

Batman is said to be keeping Robin's suit as a remembrance. Robin was killed by Joker though it was not shown in the trailer. The report also noted that in the comics, there have been several people to take on the mantle of Robin, and the one that Joker killed was Jason Todd.

In the Batman movie in 2018, the report speculates that based on the comic storyline "Under the Red Hood," Jason Todd will return but no longer as Robin but a villain called Red Hood. It further said that the 2018 Batman movie that features a live-action Red Hood would make the greatest Batman solo movie of all time. This is  because there is already an animated "Under the Red Hood" movie.

Reportedly, the next Batman solo movie will be directed by The Dark Knight himself Ben Affleck, Comicbook reports. It is targeted to be released in November 2018, which would put it in competition against Marvel's "Captain Marvel."
