"Twilight" star Nikki Reed could start befriending "Vampire Diaries" actress Nina Dobrev again, who appears to have moved on from Ian Somerhalder with her new rumored boyfriend, Austin Stowell. According to a report, Reed earlier expressed that she wants to mend her relationship with Dobrev, who used to be her friend.
Reed and Dobrev starred together in a PSA for health insurance last year, according to the report. The two were said to be close friends and were often seen hanging out together with other celebrities until Reed became the girlfiend of Somerhalder. Hollywood Life reported earlier in the year that a source said that Reed apparently intends to be friends again with Dobrev. The source reportedly said that Nikki has no bad blood for Nina and actually wants for all of them to be friends again.
According to International Business Times of India, Nina Dobrev is attempting to move on in life after quitting her role as Elena Gilbert in "Vampire Diaries." The report added that she is keeping away from all the drama surrounding her relationship with ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder who is now Reed's husband.
In fact, Hollywood Life reported that Nina and "Whiplash" actor Austin Stowell were spotted holding hands during the Los Angeles screening of her new series, "The Final Girls," on June 16, confirming reports that the two are dating. The report said that the new couple stayed close together, with Austin not letting go of Nina's hand the entire time. She also introduced Austin to all her co-stars.
Also in an earlier report, Hollywood Life said that Nina posted an Instagram picture of herself and Austin together in a photo booth and they were reportedly spotted kissing at the Indianapolis 500 race on May 24. Meanwhile, Ian already reportedly expressed that he is happy for her ex-girlfriend.
Nina and Ian broke up in 2013 and he ended up marrying Reed last April. Somerhalder and his relationship with Reed was highly speculated to be the main reason for Dobrev leaving "The Vampire Diaries."
However, she has previously slammed the rumors and even talked about Reed and Somerhalder's wedding. She said, "When I heard about the wedding, I thought it was beautiful," Nina said in a report from E! Online. "They look happy and I am happy and so I don't see why there should be a problem with that."
Fans, however, continue to assert that there's bad blood between Dobrev and Reed. Such bad blood rumor was ignited once again a few months ago when Somerhalder reportedly unfollowed Dobrev on Twitter. The report said that fans believe Reed forced her husband to do it. The report added that Reed was also targeted by Dobrev's fans after she allegedly liked an Instagram post saying Dobrev wasn't suited for Somerhalder.
