'Clash of Clans' Update: Clan War MatchMaking Feature Broken, Players Get Access to 3 Dark Spells

"Clash of Clans" developers have recently released an update where players get access to three dark spells and fixes to its matchmaking feature. In a report, Master Herald said that Supercell, the game's developer,  is maintaining a high level of quality for the game and is listening to players' feedback.

To prove this, the company released a relatively large update for the game. However, the update also came with a lot of bugs, which the developers are currently addressing.

The recent update has broken down some of the game's features, including the Clan War matchmaking feature, preventing some clans from getting into a match that is right for them or in some instances, preventing them to enter any match at all.  The latest update also affected the AI of the Wall Breaker.

According to the studio, they are trying to address each issue. Already addressed was the Clan War star requirement for Clan XP during wars that showed incorrectly. In addition, the incorrect names and translation strings have also been fixed, like the wrong names for Simplified and Traditional Chinese in the Language selection menu.

While there were some glitches in the new update, the game was developed to have exciting features such as access to three Dark Spells: Haste, Poison and Earthquake.

According to Metro, Haste increases the speed of all units for the duration of an attack. Poison, meanwhile, slowly drains the health of defending troops which opens up for some interesting strategies when combined with other skills. Earthquake, on the other hand, causes massive damage on both walls and buildings and is reportedly more effective than Lightning since it weakens walls.

Master Herald added that the update also changed the multiplayer portion of the game to some extent. The developers did not discover major bugs but admitted that they need to address some issues with the game's balance. The fix for the issues surrounding the game's balance will reportedly be addressed in a future patch.
