Serena Williams Net Worth: House Tour of the Wimbledon Star's Palm Beach Property

Tennis star Serena Williams has made headlines once again with her recent victory over her elder sister Venus Williams in the Grand Slam match of the ongoing Wimbledon tournament. This is her win over her sister for the first time in six years, which also propels her to the last eight in the Wimbledon quarter-finals, BBC reports. Over the years, Williams has championed various tennis tournaments, which earned her an astounding $140 million net worth. Take a look back at one of the tennis star's recent prized possessions: her Palm Beach Property home worth $2.5 million.

Purchased two months ago, in May, Williams' Palm Beach Gardens house sits on a 1.25-acre lot. According to PalmBeachPost.com, the two-story property features a pool and a spa as well as five bedrooms and five bathrooms. The home was sold by the Ross family on May 22, and they originally bought it for $550,936 in 2007.

This is not the first home that Williams bought in the area, however. According to Palm Beach Post, the tennis star also shares a property with her sister Venus in Grand Key Terrace.

Celebrity Detective previously reported that the Williams' Grand Key house was priced at roughly $2 million in 2009. Just like Serena's new house in Palm Beach, the Williams' shared property boasts a swimming pool. It also has four bedrooms and five full bathrooms.

Serena's net worth mostly comes from her career prize money, according to Celebrity Net Worth. She was declared the Forbes' third highest-paid female athlete last year, and her earnings include endorsements from sports brands such as Nike, Wilson and Gatorade. Her total earnings are almost double than that of her elder sister Venus, who has a net worth of $75 million.
