Singer Katy Perry was spotted dating her old flame, John Mayer, on Saturday night, July 4, in Chicago. The ex-couple was seen having a good time and being sweet to each other while watching The Grateful Dead's performance on the Fourth of July concert.
It reportedly came as a surprise for fans to see the two cozying up with each other in the event. The couple announced their split in March, TMZ reports. The "Dark Horse" singer seemed not to mind the crowd, however, as she reportedly wrapped her arms around Mayer.
"The reason they have split in the past is because Katy was busy. John can't handle the lack of attention, and she can't handle the trust issues she has when she's so far away," a source from Radar Online said.
The insider also revealed that since Perry has taken a break from her Prismatic World Tour, she can now spend some time with her ex-boyfriend, and it seems that the "Roar" singer is making up for the lost time with her old flame. In line with the news, several tweets have been posted by users to show their support for the former couple.

After the controversial Perry-Mayer reunion at the Grateful Dead event, the singer posted an Instagram photo with a rainbow rose with the caption: "grateful."
