Good news 1D fans and Zayn Malik loyalists! Naughty Boy just confirmed that Zayn Malik is making a solo record. According to Capital, the UK producer finally revealed that Zayn has been writing new material and even reassured fans that the album will be "worth the wait".
"He's making a very soulful record," Naughty Boy confirmed.
"I think he's just going to make, he's making a very soulful record," Naughty Boy revealead. "He's writing, himself, on it as well."
"I think it's worth the wait, I think the less I say about it the better," he added. "It'll all make sense soon. Zayn's his own man, no one can tell Zayn what to do, especially me!"
On the other hand, Naughty Boy is working on his second studio album and says he has been working with Miguel, Kiesza, and Emeli on the record.
When asked about Zayn Malik's talent, Naughty Boy answered that he can't wait to see the former One Directioner finally showcasing his brilliant voice.
"He's got an amazing voice but I do feel like they all (One Direction) have added something as individuals in that band," he explained to Capital at the Ivor Novello Awards. "Zayn has just been probably the one that's sort of not fully showcased what he's capable of."
"I think Zayn's voice is just amazing," the UK producer added. "That's the important thing, I feel like he's an artist."
Well, it surely could take a while before the solo record emerges as Zayn has been banned from releasing any solo records for the next two years, as reported by DigitalSpy.
Not to forget, Naughty Boy leaked Zayn Malik's solo demo titled, "I Won't Mind" just after the singer's split from 1D. However, after some backlash with One Direction fans, he took the track down.
