How is Sam Smith after his surgery?

Last May 14, Sam Smith underwent an operation on his vocal cords because doctors noticed hemmoraghing following a performance in Sydney, according to Yahoo!.

As reported in the Daily Nation, the singer posted a short video on his Instagram account of him singing Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love" with his brassy range with the caption, "I'm back <3". 

BBC also reported that  the "Stay With Me" singer posted a picture of Ariel from the Little Mermaid in Instagram with the caption, "I CAN SPEAK AGAIN!!!!!!!!." 

The singer thanked his doctor in one of his pictures in Instagram. The caption said, "Thank you so much Doctor Zeitels for everything. You have truly saved me this past few months. Such an amazing man. You truly truly truly don't know what you got until you lose it.I have fallen in love with music all over again over this past month, and more than ever I feel so blessed to be able to sing and do what I love every day xx."

Last June 9, "Latch" singer posted a video in Twitter, as cited in E! Online, saying that he has fully recovered and shared the good news that he will perform on July 3. 

Daily Nation also added in their article that Smith would resume performing at a festival in England's Thetford Forest. In the same article of Yahoo! News, the upcoming dates include the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and Lollapalooza in Chicago.

Another article of BBC cited that "Lay Me Down" singer used a lot of miming and even used his phone to communicate. He said, "I did use my phone, where you can type in what you want to say and it'll say it for you. But it doesn't swear a lot, which is really annoying!"

Sam Smith was the big winner at the latest Grammy Awards, taking home three of the four most prestigious prizes. The West Australian also added in their report that the singer won a BET Award on Sunday [June 28] night for Best New Artist, but he didn't go along to pick up his awards. The singer also shared in his Instagram account of a drawing holding a trophy with a caption: "Still in complete shock that I won a BET award haha."
