SQFT Real Estate App Eliminates Broker Commissions and the Need for Real Estate Agents

SQFT is an app that will help home owners earn more in selling their properties. It can help reduce or get rid of real estate commission by allowing an individual to buy and sell a home without the need of a real estate agent.

Techcrunch reports that SQFT is America's first DIY real-estate portal that can allow home owners to get rid of the six percent real estate commission that eats a hefty portion of their earnings by allowing users to do what brokers should perform otherwise.

Using it is a piece of cake.

According to the SQFT website, the app will walk users through all the steps needed to craft an elegant and comprehensive listing which included the posting of professional photos and features of the property for sale. It also helps sellers determine the ideal asking price for a home.

SQFT helps a user create a listing that will be syndicated to over 450 real estate online sites, including Zillow, Trulia, and MLS. It can also assist a seller to arrange viewing schedules, share listing, negotiate and respond to offers, and even endorse contracts.

Meanwhile, the app tracks a user's progress while providing support every step of the way through its local team of independently operated licensed real estate agents

Because owners are fully in charge of the entire selling process of their property, there will be no room for smart brokers to fool them.

In the end, an ordinary homeowner can essentially buy or sell his home without the need for a real estate agent and close deals and profit like the pros.

According to James Simpson, Co-Founder and CEO of SQFT, the development of SQFT was partly driven by the widespread availability of home values that were previously exclusive to realtors or listing agents.

SQFT is available now and can be downloaded on the iOS app store here.
