"Orange is the New Black" star Taylor Schilling, who plays the role of Piper Chapman, recently revealed that she injured herself while filming one of her sex scenes on the hit Netflix series.
In an interview on "Late Night with Seth Meyers," Schilling detailed what happened to her on set after she got excited over filming her intimate moment.
"I hurt myself. I got very excited. I took my shirt off, and I scratched myself with my little nametag. There was a gash on my face. There was blood... We had to take like an hour-long pause because I saw blood," she said.
Meanwhile, during the same interview, Schilling talked about filming sex scenes in general. According to her, although she is used to doing it, she still finds it weird sometimes especially when there are so many people watching on set.
In other news, Schilling dished more on "Orange is the New Black" and her personal life during an interview with Express' Simon Button. During the discussion, Schilling was asked whether or not she has ever committed a crime in real life. In the series, Schilling plays the role of a criminal.
"I don't even know how to answer that question," she said. The actress then went on to hint at her past misdemeanor charges but said that it wasn't that serious.
When asked if she thinks she can survive ever living in prison, Schilling said, "I have come to grips with the fact that I'm a pretty scrappy character when it comes down to it. I don't think I'd enjoy it, but I'd survive."
Schilling also said that although Piper is a criminal, she enjoys playing the role especially now that parts of her backstory are being unveiled in every episode or season.
"Orange is the New Black" Season 3 was recently released on Netflix. The series has also been confirmed for Season 4, which will air sometime in 2016.
