5SOS Luke Hemmings Reveals the Band’s Inspiration for ‘Rock Out With Your Socks Out’ Tour

5 Seconds of Summer recently went back to Australia to perform their leg of the tour for "Rock Out with Your Socks Out." While the boys are known for sending their fans into a state of frenzy whenever they hit the stage, lead vocalist Luke Hemmings revealed their inspiration while performing on stage.

5SOS lead vocalist Luke Hemmings revealed that the band's inspiration for their "Rock Out with Your Socks Out" tour comes from rock bands from the 80s and 90s, Master Herald reported.

Hemmings cited several rock bands including Poison, Blink-182, Bon Jovi, Green Day, and Guns N' Roses as a few of 5 Seconds of Summer's favorites. The 18-year-old lead vocalist admitted that he grew up listening to these songs and being impressed by the way they captivate the audience.

Hemmings also admitted that he, together with Ashton Irwin, Michael Clifford, and Calum Hood hope to become as great as the band's favorite - Green Day. The "Good Girls" hit maker also revealed that the boys often take notes from these bands' performances on stage before doing their own act for their tour.

Well it definitely seems like 5 Seconds of Summer is not only on their way to becoming as great as their favorite rock bands, they're also making their own name. The "What I Like About You" hit makers recently sent the crowd into a state of frenzy during their leg of the tour in Australia on Saturday, June 20, Daily Mail reported.

The outlet cited that fans went wild when Ashton Irwin brought his brother, Harry on stage to perform a couple of notes on stage. Michael Clifford also took the stage in their latest concert following the fire accident from their concert in London.

"All the girls fell to the floor to try and get them. You just saw girls collapsing," the outlet quoted a fan who attended the concert.

5 Seconds of Summer will continue on their Australian leg of "Rock Out with Your Socks Out" tour on Brisbane Entertainment Centre on the 23rd, Rod Laver Arena on the 25th, Adelaide Entertainment Centre on the 27th and Perth Arena on the 29th.
