Pixar's 'Inside Out' Movie 2015: See Trailer, Plot, and Release Date Here

Pixar's new animation movie 'Inside Out' draws on the most recent psychological research and real neuroscience. Unlike the usual princess-themed animations in the past, this movie of 2015 travels deep inside and displays what's going on inside a young girl's mind.

The 'Inside Out' trailer tells us that it's mostly about what takes place inside an adolescent girls' head wherein a group of her personified emotions - anger, sadness, joy, disgust, and fear - is in charge. Things went haywire when the girl, Riley, and her family moves out while she loses her memories and dreams and her emotions travel through her subconscious to restore them.

Dacher Keltner, an expert and psychologist from the University of California, says Pixar was able to portray the state of an adolescent's emotions in a scientifically accurate manner. In his interview with NPR, Kelter said, "It zeroes in on one of the most poignant times in an individual's life, which is the transition to the preteen and early teen years, where kids - and, I think, in particular girls - start to really powerfully feel the loss of childhood."

Keltner also served as the film's consultant while they were making 'Inside Out.' In his talk with NBC, he believes that the science that the movie represents is precise enough to influence how we feel about emotions.

"We denigrate the eFrom titlemotions, and this movie is going to say: Emotions are how we look at the world and they're how we relate to other people," he said. One of the movie's actors, Amy Poehler, also pointed out how the movie will be precious for adults just as it will be for children.

"When you're in a moment, you're so at street level and this film gives you a bird's-eye view of what thoughts and feelings do to you, what they look like and what they want," she said to NBC.

Writer-director Pete Docter also emphasized how Pixar's 'Inside Out' changed his perspective on human behavior. "All these emotions are kind of programmed and act below your conscious threshold," he said. "Making a little more sense of this made me realize, in a way, to cut people a little more slack."

Opening in theaters on June 19, this is Pixar's first studio release in two years.
