The family home of Nicole Richie and Joel Madden was listed recently in the middle of a separation rumor that has been hounding the couple for quite some time now as Trulia reported. The Laurel Canyon home was listed at $3.495 million, which is $1.5 million higher when the couple bought it in 2009 for $1.912 million.
Snugged inside a very comfortable and private compound, the 17,000 square foot lot is where the couple's 6,300 square foot home can be found. It features a soaring ceiling and a sky dome that is being highlighted by the natural light, day and night. The former family home includes a spacious office, a very extensive and wide storage area, and skylights that keep the mansion lighted by the sunlight during the day.
The Canyon house also boasts off a lush backyard with a lagoon pool and a beach style entry. Spa is also included with a waterfall in it. Mainly designed to be family-friendly, it has built-in seatings and a kiddie play area. The kitchen is also massive that continuous on out to an outdoor barbecue area.
Richie and Madden's master suite is big enough to house a party and it includes a walk-in closet that was described as cavernous. Guesthouse is also available that is just a stone-throw away from the main house.
RadarOnline, on the other hand, has reported that one of the reasons why the family home was listed is because of a domestic dispute that might lead to a divorce. The online magazine website also confirmed that Richie already bought a Beverly Hills Mansion at a staggering price of $6.7 million. However, at this point, both parties have yet to deny or confirm the rumor and the next best thing to do is to see if Madden will move in with Richie in the Beverly Hills house.
