Bristol Palin Engaged: Sarah Palin's Daughter Speaks Out on Canceled Wedding, Says It's a 'Painful Time'

Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol finally broke her silence on the cancelled wedding that was supposed to happen over Memorial Day weekend. Online magazine, USA Today, reported that the 24-year-old Palin broke her silence via her blog. The entry was short and simple. It only confirmed the cancelation and thanked her family and friends for the support and prayers.

Her mother, Sarah, also announced on her Facebook page that both families still planned to go ahead with the gathering along with the invited guests at the groom's farm in Kentucky just to celebrate life in general.

On the supposed wedding day, Bristol shared a photograph with her son, Tripp, back home in Alaska. The shared photo was captioned, "I know God's plan is greater than anything else, and Tripp and I are in Alaska beginning to rebuild our lives under much different circumstances than we anticipated."

In related news, Daily Mail reported that Sarah Palin was spotted arguing with her daughter's ex-fiancé during the weekend get-together of the supposed wedding day of the ex-couple. The supposed festive mood of the gathering was tarnished by a single photograph where it showed the older Palin raising a finger over her daughter's ex-fiancé in a somewhat argumentative situation.

The photographed situation is all in contradiction to Palin's statement about the gathering. She wrote that Kentucky farm was a beautiful setting to celebrate Memorial Day with their friends and families.

When Sarah Palin released the official statement of the cancellation of the wedding, speculations went up the roof, which included Dakota's secret marriage rumor. Bristol clarified that she knew Dakota was in fact married in 2008 but got divorced in 2010.
