'Ant-Man' Trailer & Release Date: Falcon & Other Avengers Cast? 'It's Possible' Teased Director Reed [Rumors]

The director of the upcoming Marvel movie Ant-Man, Peyton Reed may have just revealed who will appear in the much anticipated comic book inspired movie.

According to Comic Book Movie, the director of the film hinted at the possibility of a Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and some members of the Avengers during an interview with Empire Magazine.

When the magazine made mention of the possibility of Mackie appearing in the film, Reed only said:

"That's classified information. That's buried. It's possible."

Reed, who wanted to keep the fans guessing, was quite hush-hush about the whole situation, did offer some other interesting tidbits for excited fans.

Ant-Man Cameo in "Captain America: Civil War"

In related news, Latino Post reported that since Ant-Man's cameo appearance in the third installment of the Captain America franchise has been confirmed, it only strengthens the possibility of a reversal where other characters would appear in the new solo flick.

It isn't much of a surprise that Marvel characters are appearing in each other's franchises because of the interrelatedness of theMarvel Cinematic Universe.

Paul Rudd will play the lead role Scott Land/Ant-Man, a reformed thief and an electronics expert. Oscar winner Michael Douglas will play Dr. Hank Pym who is the founding member of the superhero team the Avengers (based on the comic book).

According to Marvel's "Ant-Man" announcement:

"Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world."

"Ant-Man" is set for release in the United States on July 17, 2015
