Android M Release & Rumors: Next OS Called 'Macadamia Nut Cooke'? Codename Leaked [Rumors]

At this point, everything is still a rumor, which is with regards to Google's Android M, well not until fall. But, Google is somewhat giving away big chunk of tips, as to the name of the new venture, by using the codename Android M. According to the Android Police, Android M is actually Android Macadamia Nut Cookie or MNC in short. Although it is not yet confirmed, it is being rumored that the name has been spotted in AOSP code and it is heavily used by Google internally.

Google will most probably continue to call its newest baby Android M until its final version is ready to be rolled out, similar to what they did with Android L during its beta testing. It is not surprising that the software giant manufacturer calls their newest baby Android M, similar to what they have done with their previous projects Android KLP (Key Lime Pie) and Android Lollipop as Android LMP.

It is also projected that Google will share the first details about Android M later this week at the Google I/O event. However, it was already rumored that some Android M features will include fingerprint support and the new Photos app.

As BGR has previously reported, Google is planning to integrate and improve the current photo feature of Google+ into its own service. The report shows a bunch of images and animations that shows the user interface of the updated photo application. The animated illustration of the update aims to help users set up the app when running it for the first time.

The new feature will also include a revised interface that offers the user a wide variety of views to choose from and a new editing system. Users can also access their photos outside the app at a new link, which is according to reliable sources, at photos.google.com.
