‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' World Reveal & Trailer: Top 4 Announcements Here

Activision has concluded the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" Word Reveal by releasing new information on the hotly-anticipated new title.

"Under our independent studio model, every studio fosters its own unique culture and creative approach," quoted Forbes of Activision Publishing Senior Vice President Rob Kostich. "Black Ops 3 reflects Treyarch's vision for Call of Duty. It stands alone and is a unique experience within Call of Duty with its own distinctive universe, characters, and innovations. Plus, this marks Treyarch's first three-year development cycle on Call of Duty, of which they are taking full advantage."

In addition to dropping a new trailer, more information was revealed about the game's release date and beta along with gameplay photos.

To make it easier to stay updated on the details regarding the upcoming game, here are the top 3 things you need to know:

Multi-player Beta: For those who pre-order the game, a multi-player Beta was announced for those want to put the servers to the test.
"We're incredibly excited about the year ahead as we roll out all the news on the game, including the Multi-player Beta that we just announced," said Kostich to Forbes. "We haven't done a Beta in a while and really look forward to our fans getting their hands on it."

Zombies and Campaign: According to IGN, based on the Black Ops Preview, "You no longer play as a generic soldier. Instead, you pick a specialist at the beginning of the match, and each one has its own unique power and weapon." Additionally, "Black Ops 3" Zoombie model will have a full progression system.

Dedicated Servers: "Black Ops 3" will have its dedicated servers to host its multiplayer, single and Zombie mode games. 

Minimum PC Specs: The developer revealed the minimum specs required to be able to play the next-gen game. Below are the specs (via PC Gamer):

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 (all 64-bit)
  • CPU: Intel Core i3-530 at 2.93 GHz / AMD Phenom II X4 810 at 2.60 GHz
  • System RAM: 6GB
  • Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 470 1GB / ATi Radeon HD 6970 1GB
  • Hard Drive Space: TBA
  • Network: Broardband Internet Connection
  • DirectX: Version 11

"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" is set for release on Nov. 6 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Typically releases are done on Tuesday and Kostich explained by making the following statement: 

"As a company, we have released on different dates in the past. It really depends on the game and what works best for it. Again, for Black Ops 3, a Friday release to kick-off a weekend celebration was just something we thought our fans would really enjoy."
