'Final Fantasy XV' Update & Release Date: Game Confirmed For May 2016? Gameplay Details To Be Revealed On E3 Conference?

Ever since it was revealed that Square Enix is working on "Final Fantasy XV," many fans of the series have been looking forward to the video game. Now, it seems that the wait would soon be over as the developers reportedly released an exact date when players could get their hands on the anticipated title.

According to Venture Capital Post, the long awaited game is arriving to consoles on May 2016. Square Enix reportedly confirmed the date after it received amazing reviews on the gameplay demo video it released in March 2015.

Fans who were able to check out the game demo in the "Final Fantasy Type 0-HD" heaped praises on the gameplay and graphics and expressed their desire to play the game the soonest possible time. In fact, around 70 percent of the fans said they were "very satisfied" or "satisfied" with what they have seen, noted Gospel Herald.

A statement in Square Enix's website said that the game is slated for a 2016 release but with the positive feedback, it seems that the developers have finally zeroed in on the final month of May to launch it.

With the news of its launch, some fans are curious and eager for more details on the game. However, aside from the demo video, other details about the game have arrived in trickles.

In the upcoming title, lead character Noctis returns for more action-packed quests and adventures. Based on the demo video, Noctis and friends are on their way to some place when their Regalia broke down and needed the help of a car mechanic. This started his adventure that would take him to different places and meet a variety of enemies.

One thing that players could expect from the upcoming game is its switch to a more action-oriented gameplay as opposed to its "traditional turn-based or active time battle system," reported IGN.

While its release is still a year away, fans speculated that more details would be revealed at Square Enix's own press conference before the E3 event in June.

According to Eurogamer, the developers announced its own event scheduled for June 16 - ahead of the opening day of E3. It is rumored that the tech firm would finally release an exact date for "Final Fantasy XV" along with other titles, "Kingdom Hearts 3," "Just Cause 3," and "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided."

"Final Fantasy XV" is arriving to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles in 2016.
