NBA MVP Race 2015: Steph Curry vs James Harden Net Worth & House

Unlike the previous races for NBA's Most Valuable Player distinction, this season is a tight contest with several names thrown in to the great debate. Lebron James has been a shoo-in for the past several years, bagging four of the last six MVP trophies, but as great as The King is, he would have to take a backseat for marquee names like Steph Curry, James Harden, and Mr. triple-double himself, Russel Westbrook. Let's not forget Pelican's superstar Anthony Davis who also made a case for his name.

But, Harden and Curry are cuts above the rest and the race, for many experts, is down to a two-horse down-the-wire finish. It will be an ultimate choice between the best player on the best team (overall) against the best player on the 2nd ranked team (conference) despite being plagued with injuries.

The Golden State star led the league in most three-point shots in one season, led the best-passing team in assists per game, dazzled fans with his game highlights, and made a mockery out of his defenders with his video game-like plays and sick handles with the basketball. On the other hand, the Houston main man bested Curry in the scoring department with his 27.4 points per game (second only to league's best of Westbrook). He also has some clutch plays across his name, playmaking maneuvers for his teammates, highlight reels of his own, and of course, he's got the beard.

Now, let's take a look at how they fare against each other in terms of their net worth and homes, lest we should forget that RealtyToday is not some sports blog:

James Harden

The Houston guard recently acquired a luxury Mediterranean mansion inside Royal Oaks Country Club in Texas. As was previously reported here on the site, the $2 million estate was previously home to another Rocket guard and retired NBA player Cuttino Mobley. Check out photos here.

The four-bed and five-bath, 7,000 square-foot home boasts of expansive living room, movie and game rooms, huge master suite, wide chef's kitchen, and an infinity pool sitting adjacent to the fence of a golf course.

The Celebrity NetWorth valued Harden at $18 million in net worth on top of his $18 million, on the average, annual salary. He agreed on a five-year $80 million contract extension with the Rockets in 2012.

Steph Curry

Meanwhile, TheRichest.com lists the Golden State warrior with a net worth of $12 million. Also in 2012, he inked a four-year extension with the team worth $44 million.

Last year, RealtyToday also reported about Curry closing on a sale for his corner-unit Oakland penthouse at a price tag of $1.49 million. Curbed cited that Curry and his wife made the real estate move because of their plans back then to move to their current address, a single-family home in the suburbs, for their growing family and the frequent visits of relatives.

Steph and wife Ayesha has a two-year old daughter and a new baby coming.
