'Samsung Galaxy S7' Release Date & Specs: First Look at Concept Design Here [Rumors]

The recently released Samsung Galaxy S6 made huge waves and reports reveal that the South Korea based firm is already working on its next flagship device. Some sources have reported that rumors surrounding the next generations smartphone include the device having a foldable feature as well as an enhanced processor.

In a new report by ValueWalk, well-known designer has provided his rendering and personal impression of what the Galaxy S7 may look like.

Hasan Kaymak, known for HTC renders, has shared his ideas. With regards to its specs, Concept-Phones writes, "I imagine an Exynos 8xxx or 9xxx on board, 3 GB of RAM or 4 GB and a 20 megapixel camera with OIS. The screen should be 5.1 inches in diagonal or 5.2 inches and offer a Quad HD resolution."

The designer believes that the device will be made out of more luxurious material and will make use of polished aluminum as opposed to glass. Viewers will also note that there will be more front-facing speakers that suggest enhanced entertainment functionality.

The render of the Galaxy S7 is primarily chrome and gold with a segmented, texturized looking back cover. A second version is black with a different texture which looks a lot like leather.

The phone is ultra-slim with a curved back, similar to that of the earlier iPod Touch devices.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Features

Rumors regarding the specs of the next flagship phone include 4GB of RAM, 64-Bit Processor, 5.5-inch display AMOLED with 4K resolution, a massive 30MP rear camera along with either a 7MP or 10MP front-facing camera.

One of the rumors gaining traction is that the Galaxy S7 will be the world's first foldable phone.

Industry experts believe that 2016 could be the year that foldable smartphones hit the market and it ties in with the comments of a Samsung executive who reportedly said, "The expansion is inevitable because it has been announced that Samsung Electronics have requested of 8 million flexible panels per month for 'Galaxy S7.'"

The site notes that the phone will be due out sometime in 2016 and knowing the firm's rivalry with Apple, it'll be interesting to see what both tech giants come out with next.

To date, Samsung has remained mum on its next generation smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy S6 and its variant, the Galaxy S6 Edge, have recently been made available.
