Air Jordan XX9 'Playoff Pack' Home & Away Release Date, Price & Where To Buy [See Photos]

The NBA Playoffs 2015 is near in sight with only three more slots available and in celebration of that, global sports brand Nike has come up with a new design for one of the cult favorites from the Jordan line of signature sneakers. Coming out this April is the "Playoff Pack" with not just one but two colors for every basketball shoe addict's delight.

The upcoming Air Jordan XX9 "Playoff Pack" features two colors to distinguish its Home and Away editions.

Aside from the distinct colors, the Air Jordan XX9 also boasts of being the lightest shoe in the line to date, noted Nike. This is due in part to a restructured FlightPlate as well as a woven upper that comes in one piece.

The re-engineered FlightPlate helps spread "weight out evenly, resulting in a whole-sole sweet spot that optimizes energy return on every move," described Nike. This technology also allows ease in the jump of players because it is lightweight.

Sneaker Bar Detroit outlined the difference between the two editions. The "Playoff Pack" in Home version dons three of white, cool blue, and photo blue - turquoise. The upper comes in white color with wavy patterns all over in grey. Found on each side of the shoe is a "Jumpman" logo.

Photo blue - turquoise are found on the shoelace loops while cool blue accents are found on the inner lining, sole, and shoelaces. A blue "23" print is found at the tongue while a translucent outsole completes the look.

Meanwhile, the "Playoff Pack" Away version comes in a darker tone of black, white, and cool blue. Unlike the Home edition, the Away version's upper comes in black. Wavy patterns all over come in white as well as the "Jumpan" logo on the side.

Photo blue - turquoise accents are found in the inner lining and shoelace loops. Meanwhile, the sole and tongue comes in cool blue. The "23" on the tongue comes in black to make it distinct against its bright backdrop. An icy outsole finishes the look for this sneaker.

According to Sneaker News, Oklahoma City Thunder and point guard Russell Westbrook were the inspiration behind the colorways' hints of blue. At present, the Thunders still have a game to play to secure a playoff spot based on current standings.

The Air Jordan XX9 "Playoff Pack" would arrive on select Nike retailers and Nike.com starting April 15. Each pair would be sold at $225.
