“American Horror Story” Season 5 is reportedly going to dapple in a Satanic arc. Design & Trend has even reported that Satan will be making an appearance in the FX horror show.
Although the subtitle for the show’s fifth season has already been revealed, no actual plot details have been provided. Since fans found out about the “Hotel” angle, they have been trying to come up with ideas on what could possibly be the plot for Season 5.
A new theory from a Reddit user has indicated that the upcoming season will be about the Church of Satan. A group of Evangelicals once interpreted the Eagles’ hit, “Hotel California,” to be about Anton Lavey – the man who allegedly founded the Church of Satan.
According to the group’s claims, Lavey had purchased a hotel in San Francisco and turned it into the Church of Satan. Plus, it has been heavily speculated that “American Horror Story” Season 5 will be set in California.
Game N Guide has pointed out that Ryan Murphy first explored the realm of Satanic worship and demonic possession in “American Horror Story” Season 2, “Asylum.”
There has been no confirmation regarding the speculations that are making their rounds on the Internet. However, Movie Pilot is convinced that “American Horror Story” Season 5 will be the best among all of the series franchise’s installments.
According to the report, the Top Hat clue, which was reportedly in reference to the classic “Top Hat” production that had a hotel setting, may have also been alluding to Wes Bentley’s character in Season 4. Bentley portrayed the role of Edward Mordrake, a supernatural being whose mission is to increase his following by taking people’s souls.
As reported in a Yibada article, Bentley will be returning for Season 5 for an unknown role. This time, however, he will not be part of the show as a special guest, but as new addition to the franchise’s mainstay cast. Joining him in Season 5 will be Lady Gaga and Matt Bomer, both of whom will reportedly be featured in lead roles.
Sadly, it has been confirmed that Jessica Lange will no longer be part of the show. She has been part of the show since it first premiered on television. She has been a significant factor in the success of the show, and not having her in Season 5 has caused a lot of its loyal fans to be disappointed.
