‘Jurassic World’ Dinosaurs & Plot: Raptor Squad Revealed! Omar Sy’s Role Has ‘Very Personal’ Relationship with Dinos?

“Jurassic World,” the fourth installment in the “Jurassic Park” franchise, will be hitting theaters on June 12 this year. Fans have already had a peek on what the new Velociraptors look like, as shown in the movie’s trailer and franchise’s toy line.

However, it is only recently that the complete Raptor Squad was shown in the movie’s latest promo art. According to Flickering Myth, the raptors are named Charlie, Blue, Delta, and Echo. Fashion & Style reported that Omar Sy’s role in the blockbuster is to help Chris Pratt, who plays the lead role of Owen Grady, train these young dinosaurs. It was last year when Sy announced on his official Twitter page that he will be joining the cast of “Jurassic World.”

Director Colin Trevorrow revealed to the press, via Premiere, as translated by The International Business Times, that Sy will be Owen’s “subordinate.” His main task was to make sure that the Velociraptors are transported back to their cages after training. Plus, his job description includes having to check the dinosaurs’ immensely sharp teeth.

Eventually, he starts to have a “very personal” relationship with the dinosaurs and even “cherishes” the Velociraptors that he and Owen train.

Pratt and Sy will be joined by Bryce Dallas Howard from “Terminator Salvation,” BD Wong from “Jurassic Park,” Judy Greer from “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,” Jake Johnson from “New Girl,” Nick Robinson from “The Kings of Summer,” Vincent D’Onofrio from “Daredevil,” Lauren Lapkus from “Orange is the New Black,” and Irrfan Khan from “The Amazing Spider-Man.”

Although Owen and Sy’s character will be working quite closely with the Raptor Squad, Ecumenical News stated that the main dinosaur is actually the Indominous Rex. This particular dino is believed to be the result of a botched experiment, making it the most horrifying dinosaur on the island.

In a picture that the “Jurassic World” crew posted on Twitter, Pratt was shown running with the caption, “Don’t look back. #JurassicWorld.” The photo also had the statement, “If something chases you… run.” This was the exact line that Greer gave her son who was about to enter the park in the first “Jurassic World” trailer.

Dallas Howard recently revealed the scariest part of production for her. “My scariest moment is hard without giving too much of the plot away,” she said, according to Bustle. “I will say this: Re-launching an iconic franchise is terrifying for all involved. There’s just so much to live up to. If you get it right, though, it’s thrilling.”
