‘The Walking Dead’ Season 5 Release Date & Spoilers: Rick to Meet Up with Morgan? Noah Gets Killed? [Rumors]

Fans of "The Walking Dead" are literally counting the days until it returns from its midseason break, which will be on Feb. 8. No one is exactly sure about what is about to happen to Rick and the rest of the team, but many of the viewers strongly believe that they will not be seeing the much awaited Alexandria Safe Zone until the end of the season, or maybe even the beginning of season six, as reported by Unreality TV.

What is clear, though, is that season five is running at a relatively fast pace. The entire Terminus stronghold has collapsed and two significant characters have already been killed off. Now that Beth, played by Emily Kinney, is out of the picture, it can only be expected that her sister Maggie, played by Lauren Cohan, and her good friend Daryl, played by Norman Reedus, will be most affected by her death.

To fill in for Beth's major character spot, many have speculated that the gang will be meeting up with Morgan soon. Morgan had a short appearance in one of the recent episodes, which hinted that he will be making his entrance back into the show anytime now.

However, according to Joshua McDermitt, who plays the role of Eugene, the meeting with Morgan is probably not going to happen in the first few episodes.

"The answer to this - any sort of detail I'm gonna screw it up - just, I'm not confident of the details as Morgan kind of showed up to the church in the last episode," McDermitt shared to Huffington Post, as reported by Comic Book. "He saw the map and everything. The greenery had grown up over some of the vines to show that several months have passed. I don't think that Morgan is around the corner."

Plus, another rumor that is circulating the Internet lately is that Noah, played by Tyler James Williams, might get killed off, as well. Even if he has just recently joined the cast, he landed a recurring role in an upcoming CBS "Criminals Minds" spinoff, according to The International Business Times.

He could try doing them both, but it is a known fact that juggling two huge TV roles is very difficult for any actor. With this said, some fans believe that Noah might not stick around the highly watched AMC zombie drama.

Comic Book shared the official synopsis of the show's returning episode, and it gives fans a few ideas on what to expect. Those who think that Alexandria will still be a no-show, for now, will surely have second thoughts as the synopsis reads, "After all the recent trials the group has faced, a slight detour might prove to be the solution they've been looking for."
