Anthony Gulledge Beats 3-Year-Old Boy For Eating Last Piece of Cheesecake

Who would have thought that a piece of cheesecake could almost kill an innocent life? Call it a case of psychosis but it actually happened to a 3-year old boy who was beaten by a Tennessee man, Anthony Gulledge, for eating the last piece of cheesecake.

Now the boy is reportedly in a very critical condition after sustaining some serious injuries. The boy is Gulledge's girlfriend's son.

New York Daily News reports that Gulledge "allegedly grabbed the unnamed woman's son by the ankles, whipped him, and caused a broken femur bone and vertebrae."

The incident started when Gulledge went home on a Saturday night and went insanely hysterical after realizing that his last piece of cheesecake had gone missing from the fridge, WREG shares the story.

The mother, Katrina Johnson, admitted that Gulledge beat his son in two separate occasions. After he got extremely mad of not seeing any cheesecake left in the refrigerator, he went to the boy's bedroom, dragged him out by the ankles, and whipped him brutally.

Johnson confirms that after whipping his son, the offender went to the child again and hit him for the second time.

Angel Scott, the boy's aunt, shared her own sentiment to Knoxville News-Sentinel: "I just wouldn't expect him to hurt the baby like that; this baby could have died... I know my sister wouldn't do anything to hurt her child. She wouldn't, but I know that she's afraid of her boyfriend, and that's the only reason she didn't try to defend the baby like she wanted to. She's very afraid of him, I know she is."

This is not the first time that Gulledge has committed a criminal offense. According to News Max, he has been arrested two times before because of beating Johnson. He was also put into custody because of physically harassing her when she was six months pregnant.

Johnson remains quite reserved about the issue despite her and her 3-year-old son beaten severely many times over.

The boy, who was covered in contusions, is receiving a medical treatment from Le Bonheur Children's Hospital but is still in a critical condition. Based on a recent report from the hospital, the boy is also recuperating from bruised lungs.

Anthony Gulledge was arrested and charged with neglect, aggravated child abuse, and domestic assault, WREG reports. Meanwhile, Katrina Johnson was also charged with aggravated child abuse for not taking sufficient action to protect her child.

Gulledge is now being held on a $210,000 bond, according to People, but maintains innocence.
