Patrick Schwarzenegger has yet again proven his devotion to pop singer Miley Cyrus as the 21-year-old actor reportedly refused to break up with her despite his parents' financial threat.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver allegedly threatened their "prodigal son" of losing access to his trust fund worth $49 million if he does not get out of his relationship with Cyrus, the IB Times reported.
According to unidentified sources in a more recent The Inquisitr report, both Patrick's parents are now convinced that the "Wrecking Ball" songstress is a "negative influence" on their son and that they fear that she would break his heart.
Because of this, they resorted to threatening Patrick's access to the multimillion-dollar trust fund he is set to receive when he turns 25 years old.
"Maria especially is hoping the shock tactic of threatening to cut him off financially will scare him into giving Miley the elbow. He and his mom had a huge argument during which he told her she and Arnie could stick their cash 'where the sun don't shine,'" says the unnamed source.
However, Patrick stood by his months-long affair with the singer and allegedly chose her over the money, leaving his parents -- especially his mother -- disappointed.
"He said he'd rather be with Miley than have the money. It's upsetting for Maria and Arnie because they fear Miley will lead him astray, then break his heart," the source revealed as quoted by Business2Community.
On the other hand, Patrick's father, "Terminator" star Arnold Schwarzenegger, is allegedly beginning to warm up to the pop star and even suggested that the couple spend time with him in Las Vegas, says a report from Fox News.
"Arnold approves of his son's new relationship, and he was the one who suggested they all spend New Year's Eve together in Las Vegas," Fox News' source revealed.
This was supported by a report from The New York Post which revealed that Arnold and the couple spent the New Year's Eve together with the actor's girlfriend, Heather Milligan.
During the holidays, Patrick also brought Miley to meet his relatives in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, which turned out fine because everyone put on a pleasant face. However, sources of The Inquisitr revealed that the family was "exasperated" with the singer's appearance during their visit.
Celebration of the couple's fans was deemed premature by The Inquisitr, as rumors stating the the 21-year-old actor-model's mother strongly disapproves of their relationship, surfaced.
