'Sherlock' Season 4 Air Date, Spoilers & News: Moriarty to Return?

Although it is still a long way off, excited fans of "Sherlock" can't hold their delight on the much-awaited return of the highly coveted show created by BBC.

The excitement poured out unrestrainedly on the web as supporters share their individual conjecture on how season 4 is much more special that the other previous seasons. The show is expected to be back on air in 2016, and the contemporary recapping of Sherlock Holmes and Watson will surely captivate its followers into its persuasive chronicle and tested characters.

But the most interesting thing to note is the postulation that Moriarty is working with Sherlock's brother. Could this be true?

A couple of months back, spoilers leaked many unexpected and silly predictions about the next things that could happen in the show. In November, Gospel Herald reported that "the first main one is that Moriarty will not be returning." Well, it could just simply be treated as a normal downside of being too ambitious at foretelling who is leaving and who will remain.

But since Season 3 concluded with stolen frequency bands and video clips of Moriarty admitting that he is not dead, the show apparently evoked subtle indications and wants to tell the fans that Sherlock Holmes' desperado is still asleep in his deathbed. But regardless, it leaves fans wondering whether they should set their expectations at Moriarty's comeback or just shrug him off and move on.

Fans speculations on Moriarty's real state originated from the conclusion of season 3. According to iDigital Times, "In the final minutes of the season 3 finale, fans saw the return of Moriarty in the digital world.

"While he was not seen in flesh and blood, his face was splattered across televisions and computers, as he taunted the eccentric protagonist of the show. This naturally raises the question of whether Moriarty is alive or simply made plans to torment Sherlock post-humously."

But even if Sherlock's villain is not returning anymore, Mycroft Holmes is expected to reappear on the show.

Now as 2016 closes in, spoilers are starting to build-up on different social media sites. Here are some of the most attention-grabbing spoilers to date:

1. Season 4 will be better than season 3. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Steve Moffat, the show producer, admitted that they plan to top the Emmy-winning season saying, "We have a plan to top it. And I do think our plan is devastating. We've practically reduced our cast to tears telling them the plan..."

2. Is Sherlock gay? The observation may have cropped up from the rather gay character of Sherlock in the show but he only talks fast and has a unique preference on his dress.

3. Moriarty is not coming back. The producer of the show, Steve Moffat, already confirmed that Moriarty is dead. He said that Moriarty died a sure death by shooting himself on the head. There is nothing you could do to bring him alive.
