"The Hunger Games" actor Liam Hemsworth seems to think that Patrick Schwarzenegger is only using Miley Cyrus to get around in Hollywood.
Though photos and news about the new couple seem to prove that Patrick is indeed smitten with the "Wrecking Ball" singer, Hemsworth still seems to doubt the 21-year-old up-and-coming model's intentions, a report from Hollywood Life stated.
According to Hollywood Life's source, Liam still cares for his ex and wants her to be happy by being with the right guy.
"He hopes she's happy but he can't help but be a little suspicious of Patrick. He thinks he could just be using Miley for publicity. He hopes that's not what's happening but Liam has his doubts," the source stated.
Liam and Miley -- a couple who once perfectly defined the on again, off again situation -- were engaged for a year after dating for nearly two years. The two met on the set of their 2009 romance film based on a Nicholas Sparks novel, "The Last Song."
Recently, both have moved on and are now in good terms after they called off their engagement September last year, the Inquisitr reported.
In a past interview with Nylon Guys as reported by ABC News, Hemsworth had talked about his past relationship with the "LOL" star, saying that there is "no bad blood" after their break up.
A year after her engagement was called off, the singer-actress confirmed to the public that she was dating Arnold Schwarzenegger's son, according to Us Weekly.
After news of her new-found relationship broke out, several rumors surfaced, including one stating that one Schwarzenegger family member doesn't approve. Rumor has it that Miley has been banned from attending the Christmas celebration at Patrick's house by none other than his mother, Maria Shriver, another report from Hollywood Life stated.
"Maria doesn't want her there and won't budge. She doesn't think it's appropriate to have Miley around the rest of the Kennedy family," Hollywood Life quoted a source from Life & Style Magazine.
Despite this, the Inquistr claims Patrick insisted that his girlfriend be allowed to attend the celebration or he would not be there, too.
The insider revealed that his relationship with the singer-actress seems to have added tension to the mother-son relationship. "They've been talking less and less. Every time they do talk, it ends up in an argument where Patrick is defending Miley," it stated.
