Celebrity Homes for Sale: Tampa Bay Rays Pitcher Drew Smyly Lists Dallas Condo for $449K

Tampa Bay Rays star Drew Smyly is selling his Dallas condo for $449,000. The 26-year-old pitcher faced and won an arbitration case against his team to earn a $1.1 million raise in February. Now he seems to be looking for more money as he is planning to sell his home.

According to Realtor, the Arkansas-born southpaw revealed on his Twitter account that he will still live in Dallas but work in Tampa, so selling his old home may not mean that he is leaving the city entirely.

Listing agent for the property Sue Krider did not reveal the seller, but she said that the two-bedroom condo is located in a popular quiet street of Oak Lawn. Listing details reveal that the condo has a total space of 2,024 square feet and features a rooftop deck where one can enjoy the cityscape views. It has stained concrete floors. On the second floor are the living area and the kitchen that has light wood floors.

The kitchen is complete with stainless steel appliances like gas range. This opens to the spacious living area. The master bedroom also provides ample space.

Krider revealed that there is also a BBQ grill, and the deck has an open kitchen that the new tenants can enjoy once they move in. Other features of the home would include cable-ready television, high-speed Internet and a high-end security system. The unit also comes with two parking spaces.

Before joining the professional league, Smyly played college baseball at the University of Arkansas. In 2010 he was drafted by the Detroit Tigers, and he finally made his professional debut in 2012. He also competed for the United States national baseball team and won a silver medal in the 2011 Pan American games. Now he is coming out of spring training and has made the team's starting rotation.
