Celebrity Homes: Fred Armisen Buys English-Style Home in Los Feliz for $2.03M

After putting his Silver Lake bungalow on the market, "Portlandia" actor Fred Armisen found a new home in Los Feliz which he bought for $2.03 million. According to Los Angeles Curbed, the comedian and post-hardcore drummer is settling into a more traditionally domestic lifestyle with his new English-style traditional home.

According to Los Angeles Times, the property was originally built in 1927 which was also the same year his recently listed home was built. The brick two-story home features refined interior with soft hues, rich hardwood floors and an updated kitchen that is designed with herringbone backsplash. Two of the eye-catching features of the property are the decorative tile fireplace inside the living room and also the modern chandelier inside the formal dining room. It also has a breakfast nook which offers stunning views of downtown Los Angeles through the large bay windows.

The master bedroom features a walk-in closet and a marble-lined master bathroom which also has views of the Griffith Park. The residence has a total of five bedrooms and three full bathrooms. The interior of the house has a total of 3,491 square feet of living area, and it offers impressive views of the park and Downtown Los Angeles. Outside, there are several outdoor patios which line the red brick exterior. There is also a two-car garage somewhere inside the property. Listing agent Elizabeth Marquart of RE/MAX Estate Properties said that the home first came to the market in January with a $2.12 million asking price before Armisen made the deal with $2.03 million.

The 49-year-old actor/comedian currently stars in two series which are "Portlandia" and "Documentary Now!" The "Saturday Night Live" alum is also working as the music director on the show "Late Night With Seth Meyers" since 2014.
