Celebrity Homes: Peek Inside Football Legend Joe Namath's $1M UWS Duplex

Former New York Jets quarterback Joe Namath snagged an Upper West Side co-op for $1 million. According to New York Curbed, the legendary footballer bought the three-bedroom home with his daughter Jessica and her husband Brian Kennedy.

According to Observer, Namath still maintains his primary residence in Florida, so it is safe to say that the property was intended for his daughter who recently married last July. With that, it is no wonder that Namath will surely stay in this two-bedroom, one-bathroom pad during his visits to the city.

It was reported that the apartment features a formal dining room, living room and a renovated open kitchen that is designed with custom maple cabinetry and wide plant bamboo floors. It also has soaring high ceilings and built-in bookshelves. The place also has a lot of storage and closet space.

Listing details that were shared by Corcoran brokers Deanna Kory and Jane Martin reveal that the duplex also has an outdoor deck with custom seating and staircase which leads to the lower garden level. There is also a studio/workplace which can be converted to an additional bedroom or guest room.

Jessica is a writer and a photographer living in the city, and she revealed in her website that her new home would give her plenty of space for her works and also the many sports memorabilia she might feel decorating the home with. The duplex also has a unique feature with its custom built-in pet door which leads to the outdoor space perfect for pet lover Jessica. She shared that she once lost a pet when she was still living with her dad, but with the feature of their new home, she won't worry about losing another pet anymore.
