IKEA Recalls Three Products for the Home Due to Possible Dangers

Famous furniture brand IKEA recently recalled three of their popular products from the market.

According to the Associated Press, the Swedish furnish retailer is recalling three of their Gothem lamps. Two are table lamps, and the other one is a floor lamp because all three have been reported to have caused electric shock among users.

More specifically, the lamps itself look very safe to use, and they actually are. The problem actually has to do with the damaged cables that are attached to the units.

Most of the lamps that have been reported to have caused electric shocks are those that were purchased from IKEA stores and online stores between October 2015 to February 2016. According to Elle Décor, the Swedish retailer company will return the full amount back to buyers who purchased the lamp within this specific time frame.

Here's a look at the label for all three lamps that you need to check at home. For the floor lamp, the type number is G1414, and it is labeled at Gothem and has a made in China note. The table lamps' type numbers are 81421 and 81420, and both have the same Gothem and made in China labels. The table lamps stand at 14 and 18 inches.

Meanwhile, this shouldn't be a huge concern for those who still want to buy other products from IKEA. Truth be told, there are still so many different items that you can purchase from there.

For instance, you can furniture for the kitchen, bedroom, living room, bathroom and everywhere else from the different IKEA stores. All you have to do is choose which store to go to, and at least have an idea as to which product you will buy.

Remember, you don't also need to spend for anything much. Simply stick to your budget and hope that the product you will buy will be safe to use at home.
