Kitchen Hacks: Top 5 Tricks You Should Try at Home

Here are some fun and unique kitchen hacks you should try at home.

Just recently, House Beautiful combined a total of 16 kitchen hacks, but we've narrowed it down to the five most interesting ones that are also very easy and safe to try.

For instance, instead of slicing tomatoes one by one, you can simply put them in between two plates and run the knife in between the gap. This will result in evenly cut tomatoes in less than a minute or two.

If you and your family love eating ice cream, know that serving it using a knife is the best way to go. Serving ice cream with the use of the knife means you would not have to wait until it becomes a little soft so you can scoop it. Simply slice the knife through the ice cream and serve even if it's hard.

If you want to slice a cake perfectly, remember to not use just about any type of knife. Rather, heat your knife for a few minutes first, and from there slice the cake. Doing this will result in evenly sliced cake pieces.

Meanwhile, if you want to prevent your brown sugar from hardening when not in use, all you have to do is toss in a slice of bread in it. According to the publication, the bread magically makes the sugar soft regardless of how seldom or often you use it.

Additionally, if you are fond of drinking hot chocolate, try this new trick now instead of buying a powdered one at the grocery. Simply buy chocolate truffles and stir them inside the glass. This means you don't have to microwave the chocolate pieces until they melt.

Now that you have some ideas on helpful kitchen hacks, wait no longer and try them out now.
