After finishing the design inside her Los Angeles home, "Glee" alum Diana Agron was challenged to finish her outdoor area. According to the feature by my Domaine, Agron was able to finish renovating and landscaping her backyard according to her own style and personality.
Speaking with the media outlet, Agron revealed that she was initially unsure what she wanted to do with her backyard because there was a part of her that wanted to play safe and there was another part that wanted to follow her instincts. Agron said that she wanted to have twilight dinner parties in her backyard, and since a lot of the items inside her home were pieces from her travels, she wanted to draw inspiration from those places.
In the last two years, Agron has been working on designing her home into an eclectic-refined perfection. She asked the site's help in arranging outdoor furniture around the swimming pool. She said that she wanted to use functional furniture with many plants and mirrors so that it won't be disjoined with her interiors. She used a mix of vintage-inspired furniture from Serena & Lily, a set of mirrors from Anthropologie and lounge furniture from Select Furnishings. She also added a reclaimed wood dining table from West Elm. She said that her choice of furniture was based on wanting to have a lot of options like a place to relax in the sun and a dining table for her outdoor gatherings.
Agron's backyard drew inspiration from the enchanting French gardens which gave the area a romantic and relaxing look. Agron chose the color blue and added a mix of indigo pillows and Japanese tie-dye throws that are scattered around the area to also give it a California-chic look. Agron said that now that her home is finished, she is planning to redesign the place all over again.
