The Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Android based devices is slowly rolling out. To date, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is the most recent major device to receive the upgrade.
The 5.0 system follows the last platform, the Android KitKat, and is expected to roll out for more hands in the early part of 2015.
According to SamMobile's founder Danny Dorrestejin in a tweet, the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge update for the Android 5.0 is set to roll out beginning Feb. 2015.

In another tweet, the Android 5.0 is expected to be available for the Galaxy S4, Note 3 and Galaxy Alpha within the first quarter of next year. Basically, owners of the handsets will be using the new system by March 2015.
Softpedia writes that "The unlocked version of the Edge is going to receive an update during the second month of 2015, because the carrier-bound version usually receives the same treatment a bit later, at least in the US."
The Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy S5 users are currently on going, notes the IB Times. The update has been made available to limited owners as of now, namely those in Europe and Asia.
In a separate report, Christian Times shares that per SFR, a French telecommunication firm, the "Galaxy S5 is to receive an update this December. The update for the Galaxy Note 4 will be rolling out in January. For the LG G3, on the other hand, it is expected to roll in the coming days as it is marked with 'coming soon'."
A Samsung Spokesperson has revealed during an interview, via the Christian Times that the film as "thoroughly reviewed the stability of the operating system." The platform is equipped to provide users with "the best experience on their gadgets."
There is no work on when the update will be rolled out in the United States but the site claims Samsung is working round-the-clock to make Android 5.0 Lollipop available at the soonest time.
The arrival of the upgrade is dependent on how Samsung and wireless carriers will be able to carry out the distribution.
