Nike Basketball has unveiled the Christmas Collection 2014, their latest collection of footwear created in honor of the Christmas season and some of the greatest basketball players in the NBA, Nike reported.
Interested buyers and Nike fans can look forward to Nike's latest offering, the Nike Basketball Christmas Collection 2014, which comes in three new and different designs: the KD 7 Egg Nog inspired by Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder, LeBron 12 Akron Birch inspired by LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Kobe 9 Elite Knit Stocking inspired by Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers.
The KD 7 Egg Nog is a homage to Durant's favorite holiday treat, the egg nog, and is available in a combination of ivory, bright crimson and emerald colors. The footwear was built with a philosophy to keep it light and locked down especially for sharp cuts, and it features Hyperposite construction, Flywire technology, and Zoom Air cushioning. It also comes with glossy flecks on the red heels that were made to look like a glass of egg nog.
It will be available in $170 for regular sizes and $115 for kids sizes.
The LeBron 12 Akron Birch, on the other hand, was built to meet James' performance on the courts and comes in emerald green and dark emerald colors. The shoe has an emerald base, a photorealistic camouflage design on the upper and features a snowflake pattern, birch tree pattern and a camo pattern taken from Akron, Ohio's winter weather.
It will be available for $220 for regular sizes and $10 for kids sizes.
Lastly is the Kobe 9 Elite Knit Stocking, which was fashioned by the Nike Sport Research Lab to support Bryant's fluid play style. It is also the first footwear to be designed with the Nike Flyknit technology and resembles a candy cane or a traditional Christmas stocking. It has a black, white and bright crimson design, with a red and white upper, supple leather tongue and a marble outsole.
It also has the words "Mamba's Greetings" on the inner tongue, a touch added by Bryant himself, and is available for $225.
Official images and information of each footwear have appeared on Nike, SLAM, Sole Collector, Kicks on Fire and more. The trio of footwear will be available on Nike's online store, Nike stores and other select retail stores on Dec. 26.
