Room Design Tips for Kids with Siblings

Having more than 1 child requires a family to have an extra room, or two. Things don't have to be complicated in terms of working on your kid's room, especially if you'd decide to let them share a room. Letting your kids share a bedroom does not only allow you to save space but it also strengthens their bond.

You don't have to compromise on the room's design if they're of different gender, you can always opt for neutral hues. If their age gap is a bit far off, choose the ones that are timeless.

Listed below are a few tips on how to create a bedroom ideal for siblings to share:

Ask them what they want

By asking your kids what they want in terms of their room design, you'd get to let them participate in coming up with an effective design plan. Make both (or all) of them choose what color or the theme would be, if they'd differ in terms of their wants, be creative and come up with something that can merge all the things that they would want to throw in.

Allot a Personal Space

Though your kids share the same room, it is important to give them their own personal space. Throwing in individual desks is a great way for them to have their own privacy wherein they can each do their thing. Giving them a separate toy compartment is a great way for them to distinguish which on is theirs, which is a great way for them to keep track of their personal belongings.

Set Boundaries

Sharing the same room with some can sometimes get out of hand, most especially with the fact that boundaries are usually crossed and things would tend to overlap in terms of privacy. It is important to set rules in terms of keeping the room clutter free and tidy.
