Live in Bondi for Under $500,000

It is, for a fact, very expensive to either rent a flat or own a house in Bondi. According to realestate.com.au, the median house price is said to be $2,065,000 which is nearly four times as high as the median house price for New South Wales which is $590,000. On the other hand, it will cost an average of $1,125 to rent in Bondi, while the average rent is $430 for the rest of NSW.

Given those figures it seem like living in Bondi may just be a dream for most of the population. According to Domain, there may be a solution. Two studio apartment in the same building, that is near the Bondi beach, have been listed for a price that is a bit under half a million dollars. Sounds like a good deal except for one catch. The size of one unit is just about 2 car spots.

Nevertheless it is a walking distance from the shores of Bondi beach. It also has access to a shared rooftop swimming pool that has unlimited views to the beach and Harbour Bridge. According to Domain the listing agents say that each of the 30-square-meter apartments are suitable for investors or owner-occupiers.

LJ Hooker agent Kiel Glass, who is selling 808/212 Bondi Road, Bondi for $430,000, said that buyers can transfer to the flat right away if they so desire, but are also provisions to update it. He thinks that the price is a good offer. He added, "It's a decent space with a good outlook which is quite rare in Bondi."

On the other hand, 803/212 Bondi Road is being handled by Ray White's Olivia Ferrari. She believes that the listing is also a good value. She said the space is very decent and liveable and with a renovated kitchen the price guide is $400,000. She recommends adding a fold-up bed to make the apartment look more spaceous.
